So we had a lovely month in Ontario, hanging out with the kids and seeing all kinds of friends and colleagues. We had a chance to go to Wasaga Beach where we saw our first snow of the year of any major amount.š
I did have a chance to have a reunion with my old band mates and played all kinds of music for 3+ hours and my fingers were freaking when it was over, but it was great fun and even after all of these years of not playing together, we didnāt sound too bad. We started prepare ourselves for the journey West to Victoria, and ultimately to Campbell River.
When airplane time finally got to us we were bright and early in Toronto airport where surprise surprise you can drink beer at 6 oāclock in the morning. I tried this new Ontario tradition to make sure it works fine. š
We had a wonderful daytime flight and check out the pictures in this blog. It shows our flight directly across all of Canada with frozen Ontario. We also have the cold Manitoba and Saskatchewan Prairies then we got to Alberta where they had a warm spell and all the lakes were defrosted, and everything was heading in the direction of spring. As we were going to, Victoria flew slightly south over Washington state where we had a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains in all of their splendor. š¤
We spent a couple of nights in Victoria, our favourite West Coast, Canadian city. Even though weāve been here many times now we donāt even get lost driving around anymore we still found things to see that we had not checked out like the Chinatown area and mountains over the Parliament buildings.
We picked up our Mini drove up to Parksville and picked up our RV and off we went to Salmon Point RV Park and set up camp for a month. Itās nice to be back in Campbell River area and hang out in the hot tub and look at the snow on the mountains across the Ocean Strait.
Weāre going to spend the next few weeks hanging out with our friends Paul and Karen going for walks, settling into RV LIFE and planning our trip back across Canada this coming summer.
It is a beautiful place to hang around, although it rains a lot
Thanks for following along
