We packed up our camp in Alder Grove, and headed to the ferry terminal and off to Vancouver Island

The morning of our departure we got an email saying instead of both of us leaving at 2 o’clock. Monika would leave in the Mini at 1 o’clock and I would leave in the RV at 3 o’clock so we had to make that work.

Monika and the Mini had a really nice cruise as I cooled my heels at Walmart my favourite place

Monika came and checked into this beautiful resort and a couple hours later I showed up through the very very narrow streets of downtown Victoria

The Mini was going in for some recall service work so we took that opportunity to walk around downtown Victoria, which was very nice. It’s a beautiful city.

We continue our series of taking pictures of Parliament Buildings from the provinces that we visit. Victoria was no different. Beautiful gardens.

We were told by some neighbours that we should go and check out The Royal British Columbia Museum who were having a very nice informative display about Stonehenge of all places We’ve been to Stonehenge in England before and a few of the pictures we saw that when we went there, you could actually touch the stones now you can’t do that. The museum was very cool for all of the natural history of British Columbia that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Throughout this trip, we have reunited with friends who we haven’t seen for years in some case and one of them was my old high school friend Ed Morris. Ed spent many years in the Canadian Navy travelling the world and had all kinds of great stories to entertain us with when we had lunch. We haven’t seen each other since grade 12. 😎

Some more walking around in downtown Victoria, and we spent some time in our RV in our lovely park which was right beside the water surrounded by floating houses. When we were in Vancouver, we saw something called Harbour Air, which is floatplanes that take you to Vancouver with Victoria and Nanaimo. Thoes planes would come right over our spot starting at 8 o’clock in the morning until it got dark. We also saw the two fairies that go to Washington State which is cool because we are going to for sure use one of them. 🤠

We kind of changed our plans a little bit rather than going to Peddler Bay we reserved a camping spot in Parksville right on the coast

A nice 2 Hour drive north with not too much in the way of scary mountains, but we arrived in one piece and have settled into beach life

We’re going to be here for the week. We probably have to drive back down to Victoria. We’re not sure when in regards to the Mini. Bmw Mini gave us a rental car.

A day of walking on the beach, hanging out in our local environment and preparing for the week of looking around, driving around checking things out before we head off to Tofino at the end of the week

Thanks for following along 😎
