We moved on from Kakabeka Falls, and landed in Ignace. We there spent one night. A beautiful night at Davy Lake Campground, which was extremely quiet, although you could still hear the train.
The frogs were a nice sound and nature a nice sound to the ears. On our route we saw a bear sitting on the side of the road and we saw a deer and a Moose and her baby.
We finally arrived in Kenora and had a spot in a park that overlooked the lake in Kenora. We regrouped put on our fancy clothes and had a nice lunch at the boathouse restaurant on the beautiful waterfront area.
We then got up very early in the morning and moved on headed towards an area just south of Winnipeg called Ill Des Chênes
There we experienced what I’m told never stops, which is the wind and a very nice campground
We spent Father’s Day by using Monika‘s. I’m a new Canadian free museum pass to go to the Western Canadian Aviation Museum which is pretty cool. The MG club was present and they had lots of fantastic cars to check out.
We had a chance to drive through downtown Winnipeg yeah and then we decided to head to Assiniboine Park to go find Winnie the bear cub.
We had been looking for somewhere for lunch and stumbled across a place called the The Leaf, which was a wonderful lunch. The Leaf is a botanical garden type place with a restaurant called. Gather Kraft Kitchen. Monika got to try arctic char for the first time. 😎
A couple beers with lunch and we were off to find Winnie the Bear Cup which we did locate
The original Pooh bear was a bear cub from Winnipeg. Rescued by cavalry veterinarian Harry Colebourn, Winnie is best-remembered for inspiring the name of A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard's character, Winnie-the-Pooh
