We started packing up our beautiful stay in Campbell River preparing our RV for its storage and getting set up for our trip to Washington, Oregon and California
Our time at Salmon Point was filled with wildlife our new favourite restaurant and our new favourite hot tub and we will miss all of the above 🤠
We had a few good lunches as we prepared to depart and believe it or not had some sunny days
Paul and Karen set it up that we would go with them on a little ferry trip to Quadro Island and tour around. It’s a beautiful spot very picturesque and we saw car fairies that go to other islands. Real cool place and a nice pub that has live music and good food. 😀
Going through our archive pictures we had a lot of great photos of that area of Vancouver Island and I’m looking forward to coming back in the spring to see everything come back alive after the long winter
We drove around the island finally coming to a great spot for a walk although a little bit of bridge maintenance was required but myself and Paul have a plan in place 😂
We then spent the evening at Paul and Karen‘s where a wonderful fish and chip meal was prepared for us and without a word of a lie I think it was the best fish and chips I’ve had
We spent a day getting our RV already for its winter storage and packing our suitcases as we’re going on the road. The nice people at Big Boys With Big Toys will be storing our RV for the winter as we go on the road in our Mini.
As we still have a day before, the ferry leaves for Washington state, we went to the British Columbia aviation museum to see the giant Mars water, bomber, and the place where they are restoring the Lancaster bomber that used to be in Toronto at the waterfront beside Ontario place. Very nice museum and I had a chance to chat with the gentleman who used to work at radio Canada international in Germany around the same time that I was there. It’s small world.
A couple of afternoon chores and we’re prepared for adventures to Washington state Oregon state and California
Thanks for following along 😎
