Ontario and Merry Christmas 😀

Well, we came back to Vancouver Island after a beautiful visit to San Francisco and The US West Coast, some great friends in Greater Vancouver and prepared to head to Toronto. We had a great few days of Victoria before we departed. It’s a beautiful city.

We got back to the Markham house and after a couple of days had a very nice visit from Mom and Liz to sort of celebrate my birthday. Great evening was had by all with Chinese food ordered from Ajax of all places. 😀

During our time here, I decided to go back to work for a bit of sanity, so Monika could be in her place and I could be in mine after all those months together on the road. It felt a little weird to be back and doing the same thing, but it’s all part of the journey. 🤓

Monika decided to go spend some time in Wasaga Beach and I had the opportunity to go for a very fast visit to Windsor Ontario by taking The Via Rail Train. When I went to book the train ride, I decided to go with business class, which was nice as they give you a couple drinks. The meal was just fine and was very comfortable. You get into the lounge and Union Station before hand all in all very good experience.

I had a great visit with our old friends, Phil and Willie. Spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon checking out a really cool band of awesome musicians who told me they’ve been playing together for 50 years. When I left on Sunday morning it was rainy and I was not 100% heading back to Toronto. 😁

As Christmas approaches we’ve been spending some time with family. We put up our little Christmas tree and enjoyed some Ontario snow and reflected on the journey. We are also getting ready to head to Portugal and Germany for January and February. I do plan on doing a few blog posts as there’s lots of cool stuff to see and even though we won’t be in an RV I’m sure everybody will find it interesting. We will be back in the RV in late March or early April.

The RV is quietly sitting on Vancouver Island near Parksville awaiting our arrival 😊

The Mini is being babysat by BMW Mini of Victoria and it’s quietly sitting in the underground parking happy as can be 😊
