So welcome to British Columbia. So it will be the fifth province since we started this journey West and I believe we’re going to be here for a while.. They seem to enjoy mountains here. Our first stop was Cranbrook where we checked into the KOA.

On our way to Pincher Creek Alberta we had a lot of wind and crosswinds going up to almost 60 km an hour. It was truly frightening in a big square box driving down the road. We changed our plans to camp in a harvest host farm and elected to camp in the middle of downtown Pincher Creek where we were shaded by trees and the valley. We did notice as we were driving in that there are a lot of wind turbines that would tell me that there’s a lot of wind.. 😀

We have since settled into this lovely campground, which has a casino, restaurants, swimming pool, hot tubs, all attached. Cranbrook is a really nice town tha has everything we need. Planning a couple more visits there as well as some RV maintenance and a possible train museum visit.

We took a drive down to Creston down near the US border. What a beautiful drive and when we got there, we went on a wine tasting at The Skimmerhorn Winery. We were driving around town surprise surprise we came across The Kokanee Beer factory. We had a nice lunch downtown. It’s very historic nice and old.

So we spent some time staying close to home and arranging maintenance for the RV. We’re getting an oil change and some new shocks and I’m quite sure that that will help the driving situation incredibly 🤠

We did go for a drive to Kimberly and around the mountains and it’s very nice beautiful scenery. We made a stop at the historical town of Fort Stanley was kind of cool, but we weren’t really in the mood to walk around it. I guess we’re lazy tourists. 🤠

After a day of relaxing, it was time for the RV to go in for its service and we used that opportunity to drive out to Fernie, which is in the direction of Alberta where we came from. Historic town that in the winter is a giant ski resort. Nice Place 😀

We’re getting ready to say goodbye to the KOA in Cranbrook and on our way out we had to get one more little minor amount of service completed on the RV so I had a chance to go and take some pictures of the beautiful restored Canadian Pacific Trains that have parked outside the museum. This combination of engines is the last of its kind and specifically saved for the historical value. This is what put the steam trains out of business.

We are off to Fairmont, Hot Springs resort for a couple days before we hit the mountains of Golden and points beyond. Thanks for following along. Cheers.😎
