Rogers Pass Revelstoke, and the Okanagan Valley and Sylvia

We decamped from Golden and headed up the mountains towards the top of the Rockies through the Rogers Pass. To be honest, I’ve heard a lot of horror stories and I did some research and it was a wonderful drive maybe the time of the year maybe in fact it was raining but I had harder drives in our RV than I did going over that mountain.

We set up one night in Revelstoke in a nice little campground that used to be a KOA that features very strange looking ducks in a couple really bizarre goats

We left the next day and headed towards Vernon British Columbia down the Okanagan Valley and we’ve settled in at Swan Lake RV resort in Vernon

We spent our first evening moving our RV around a little bit and going to the farmers market the next day with upcoming plans to go and see it again.

We did some hanging around here at this resort and doing the pool thing and so on and kind of getting to know a little bit about the area

We got up nice and early and we drove down towards Kelowna and what a beautiful drive. It reminds me of California and if anybody out there has ever seen an episode of MASH it looks like where the helicopters come flying in because that was filmed in California and it looks like that here. After a beautiful visit to Peachland, we headed to downtown Kelowna by the water to meet up with our old friend and neighbour Sylvia

We had a wonderful dinner at O’Reilly’s restaurant up on the patio and then went for a really nice walk downtown.

Sylvia was our neighbour in Bradford back in the day and apparently we haven’t seen her for at least six years and it was great to catch up and see what’s going on and reminisce

After a late evening, drive back from Kelowna, we decided to spend the day in the RV cleaning. I finished washing the RV did some home chores and went for swim and a hot tub.

This was followed by a nice barbecue here in the California of Canada. 🇨🇦

The remainder of our time in beautiful Vernon was very relaxing and chores that were required to be done to prepare.

Good to go to the next adventurous drive 😀
