We’re settled into our life on Vancouver Island at Salmon Point RV Park which we really like. We can see the discovery straight from here which essentially is the Pacific Ocean. There’s a nice hot tub here. There’s a lovely restaurant and great place for walks.
They do have a nice clubhouse here with fossball a TV and darts and so on which we have gone out and enjoyed 😀
One of the great advantages of being on Vancouver Island is the abundance of wildlife that we see. A great amount of birds, eagles, river otters, sea lions, and we did without getting pictures see whales that you could even see them directly from our RV.
We’ve had a chance to see and hang out with all kinds of friends, new and old. We had a lovely reunion with our friend Veronica who goes way back to the days of Germany in Lahr. It was pretty much 30 years ago since we were last together. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at Paul and Karen‘s with all kinds of great people and a beautiful night. ðŸ¤
We had a chance to go up island a little bit to what’s affectional known as the camp, which is a beautiful nature area with a couple of strange features, but it was a fantastic day.
As well as hanging around in the wilderness, we had a great evening at the Campbell River Golf and Country Club where they have an indoor/outdoor golf driving range with electronic scoring. We have a new golf star in our midst.
The weather can be a little bit strange with rain and the other morning, frost and almost snow.
As everybody says here if you don’t like the weather, wait a little while cause it’ll change. Something new this weekend: atmospheric river, which essentially is a river of water coming from Japan south of the Hawaiian islands hitting here with never-ending rain and up to 90 km an hour winds. Oh fun 🤩
Thanks everybody for following along 😊
Cheers
Terry and Monika
